This is not esoterical. SATIN, a brandnew protagonist on the Tape-sound-front, programmed by Sascha Eversmeier (You might remember him as a programmer of the infamous Analog Modelling PlugIns in Samplitude / Sequoia) and the U-He-possee, is out! As mentioned earlier on this Blog the V1.0 also includes 6 of my Mastering-Presets. Witness the smoothness. /.-)

About USB3, Dongles and Support

Bow down before the mighty Samplitude / Sequoia / Magix-Support! New Version & Dongle in less then 24h at my studio-door! Safed my client´s and my own behind at an emergency that involved a buggy USB3-Port and a melted Dongle! And its pretty from the inside too: I was hoping for a dedicated manual, but I am delighted that it is actually a 685-pages-heavy-hardcover-book! Not that I dont know most of this software's tricks since many years now, but its good to have the reference.

TIP: Be very careful with USB 2-devices connecting to USB 3-Ports in general. The USB 2-implementaion from with USB 3 already proved to be faulty here and there and you can easily destroy miscellanous USB 2-hardware with wrong combinations.

New Marian SERAPH AD/DA in our studio!

On a side-note: I am offically managing the facebook-page for the glorious (but always) underrated Pro Audio AD/DA-builders at MARIAN Digital Audio. I also switched to a fancy 32 Bit / 192 KHz SERAPH-System some days back, so if you got questions we can nerd-babble... Please like the page if you are into serious audio-converters and soundcards!

Presets for U-HE's new Tape-emulation "Satin"

Currently testing Sascha Eversmeier's new codeing-baby SATIN that will be released by the infamous U-HE company... From what I can say until now: Wow, "Noise Mod." is highly addictive and can reproduce those dynamic artefacts that I remember from transfering WDR-mastertapes to a Sadie-DAW. Very punchy! I was also asked to create some Stereo and Multitrack-Presets within the next days. Here's a small english interview (after the annoying ad) with Sascha himself who showcases the potential uses of this new category of tape-emulation-plugIn:
